For over 25 years, I have been a dedicated and endorsed Nurse Practitioner specializing in the intricate fields of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. My career has been defined by a commitment to excellence and a global perspective, having practiced in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. This international experience has honed my ability to adapt to diverse healthcare systems and patient populations, enriching my clinical expertise.
My practice is deeply rooted in the principles of lifestyle medicine. I believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their cardiovascular health through evidence-based lifestyle modifications. What to Expect
Initial Consultation:
○ Comprehensive assessment of cardiovascular and general health,
○ Physical examination, including blood pressure, heart rate, weight, auscultation(listening) of the heart and lungs
○ Dietary assessment and counselling.
○ Requesting, reviewing and interpretation of relevant diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, ECG, and echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart).
All findings are communicated to your treating general physician
● Follow-up Consultation:
○ Detailed discussion of test results and personalised risk assessment.
○ Development of an individualised heart health plan, including lifestyle modifications,
exercise recommendations, and dietary guidance.
○ Referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed, such as dietitians, physiotherapists,
and cardiologists.
● Ongoing Support:
○ Regular follow-up consultations to monitor progress and adjust the heart health plan as
needed.
○ Education and resources to support long-term heart health.
○ Development of a "Heart Health Passport" to track individual progress and empower
women to take control of their cardiovascular health.
